About John
John W. Kennedy is news editor of Today’s Pentecostal Evangel and has written for Assemblies of God publications since 1999. Prior to moving to Springfield, John spent 
seven years as news editor at Christianity Today and 11 years as a reporter and editor for newspapers in Iowa and California. He received a bachelor of journalism degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He and his wife, Patty, have three grown sons, Joshua, Jesse and Zachary.
John has been on reporting trips to more than a dozen countries. His life experiences include living in New Zealand for a year as a foreign exchange student and being fired as a reporter for helping organize a pro-life group.
